CTBUH 2024 International conference Branding

The Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat puts on a massive international conference annually. For the upcoming 2024 Conference, I developed the logo and typography, and the team and I worked to develop effective colors and pattern swatches to create a library of assets to use during the conference. We then developed a complete branding guide to serve as a point of reference for future
asset development. Additionally, I developed the promotional video to help market the conference. This video was shown during the 2023 International Conference at the end of the awards ceremony as a way to hype up the attendees about next year.

VISUAL LANGUAGE
Each pattern developed for the 2024 International Conference was based on simple shapes that arise from trends in architecture and urban planning. As the conference takes place in both London and Paris, we thought it pertinent to draw inspiration from both places, and found value seeing how shapes can be common between the cities, or found primarily in one place over the other. Building these shapes out in order to explore patterns of density in cities had us altering scale and orientation to best portray the feel of an urban environment.
